im trying to fix a friends 6 with dpf faults. Ive read through the helpful previous posts but am still experiencing the same issue. Dpf flashing and eml light lit. Code reader throws out p242f. I clear the code and the mil light goes out for about 10 seconds then comes back on. we live in France

The DPF light flashes for many reason hence why i ask you when was it last serviced,you now need to do an oil change as the light won't come on for another 12500mls unless you have another provblem, you can't go 25000mls without an oil change it'll wreck the engine.You must use a C1 5w/30 class low ash oil for the oil change.
