Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is a sandbox strategy game where a player builds an army of soldiers and performs various quests on the overhead map. The player personally engages in multiple combats alongside their troops. However, in Bannerlord, you will see significant improvements in several gameplay elements. For the player, crossbow is WAY better than the bow. Yeah the "dps" is lower, but you can go to cover, ready the shot and peep out just like Call of Duty lol. Especially in sieges, the ready shot is way more useful than having to prepare an arrow shot while the target on the wall might move into cover themselves.
So im currently playing on the most recent beta patch. I want to use a crossbow but the lowest skill requirement ive seen for a crossbow is 20 and my crossbow level is 10. The only way to level up your crossbow skill is by using a crossbow. I went through the character creation and the max level you can raise your crossbow to is 10.
