The full engine line-up includes: SCe 65: naturally aspirated 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Available on Sandero only. TCe 90: turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit paired with a six-speed manual transmission or CVT automatic transmission.
Economical, spacious, but a bit casual. The three-cylinder petrol engine in the front complies with Euro 6c , drives the 1.1-tonner with its 140 Nm of lively when required and even conveys a certain amount of driving pleasure when turned out. Tip: The witty TCe 90 is also available in conjunction with the cheaper Comfort equipment.
The turbocharged 0.9-litre TCe 90 is the best of the bunch, but thereโs a strong argument for the ancient 1.2-litre SCe 75 because itโs considerably cheaper to buy in the first place (and has been updated for 2017 with a bit more refinement and economy). All three engines vibrate when the revs rise, but the diesel is the worst.
1. 0.9 TCe engine. The Renault Engine, marked with the code H4Bt, was developed by Renault and Nissan. Concern connections meant that the 0.9 TCe engine, debuting in 2012, found its way under the hoods of Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Smart. The Renault Engine made of aluminum weighs less than 100 kg.
